As some of you will have noticed, our website was down during the last few days. The webserver experienced a harddisk failure as a result of which the whole disk had to be replaced. What would normally have been a fairly easy job was complicated because the company we pay for a four hour reaction time contract did not quite manage to deliver the new disk in time. After receiving and installing the disk, the server had to undergo some testing before we could restore the backup - which is now up and running.

I am very sorry for the disturbance. While we cannot guarantee that hardware will always work 100%, we will look into what we can do do get the site up an running again should such a problem occur again in the future. I would just like to assure you that the website was not offline as a result of a hacker attack and that no private data (i.e. email addresses) has been exposed at any time during this incident.
